I&M Bank opens 26th Nairobi branch in Eastleigh
I&M Bank on Thursday opened its 26th Nairobi branch in Eastleigh's Business Bay Square (BBS) mall as part of plans to expand its operations in the city.
Chief Executive Officer Gul Khan noted the potential for growth in Eastleigh, which has become a key business district in the city, with thousands of small and medium enterprises.

"I can confidently say this is the best mall in Kenya. Our business will hopefully grow here," he said.
Shameer Patel, I&M's executive general manager for personal and business banking, noted their commitment to improving services in Eastleigh. He highlighted the bank's digital platform, I&M On The Go (OTG), which has no fees for mobile money transactions to M-Pesa and Airtel Money.
I&M announced its decision to waive the fees was announced on February 15, 2023, becoming the first bank in Kenya to do so. The move followed the reintroduction of the fee waiver by the Central Bank of Kenya in January 2023.
BBS Mall Chief Executive Officer Munir Ahmed noted that the neighbourhood holds many opportunities to do business.
"This mall and Eastleigh are big enough for everyone. If you cannot do business here, you need to relook your business strategies," he said, expressing confidence that the new I&M branch would be successful.
I&M intends to open three more branches in Nairobi, to attain a total of 29, by the end of this month. The new Eastleigh branch is its 42nd one in Kenya.
